Welcome to Task Heroes! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our freelance marketplace platform available at [taskheroes.net] (“Site”), operated by Task Heroes Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By using our platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Task Heroes. By creating an account, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract.
2. Platform Usage
Task Heroes connects freelancers (“Heroes”) with clients (“Employers”). We provide the platform but are not a party to the contracts formed between users.
Users are responsible for their own profiles, proposals, tasks, and communications. We do not guarantee the quality, legality, or delivery of services offered by freelancers or requested by employers.
3. Payments and Fees
- Task Heroes operates on a commission-based model. We currently charge a service fee of 10–15% per transaction, which may be adjusted at our discretion.
- We also offer subscription options for users who prefer set monthly or annual billing.
- All payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal. Users are subject to the terms of those providers.
4. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a disagreement between an employer and a freelancer:
- Parties are expected to attempt resolution independently via the platform.
- If no resolution is reached, Task Heroes will intervene and provide a final, binding decision based on available evidence.
5. User-Generated Content
Users may post content including but not limited to profile details, task descriptions, reviews, and comments.
- You are solely responsible for any content you upload.
- We reserve the right to remove any content that violates our policies or applicable laws.
6. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not:
- Use the platform for any illegal or fraudulent activity.
- Infringe on any intellectual property rights.
- Harass, abuse, or defame others.
- Circumvent fees or use the platform for unauthorised transactions.
7. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion for violations of these Terms, or if we believe your actions harm the community or our operations.
8. Limitation of Liability
Task Heroes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. We provide no warranties beyond what is stated in these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
10. Updates
We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
